Hello from Auburn everybody!
As usual, I’ve got quite a few things to share with you guys from the past few days. I swear, nearly everyday day I plan to blog about the events that took place and then whada ya know? Time has escaped me. One of these days I’m going to master the ole “time management” skill. Just wait.
Alrighty. Here we go starting off with breakfast! Yay for breakfast. Always.
Especially yay for this breakfast. Seriously tasted exaaactly like banana bread and who doesn’t love banana bread? No one, that’s who.
Banana Bread Oatmeal
1 ripe banana
1/4 cup liquid egg whites
1/4 cup milk of choice
1/3 cup water
1 package regular instant oatmeal
1 heaping mound of maple almond butter
Mash banana and then add next four ingredients. Mix until smooth and microwave for 3-5 minutes then top with nut butter and enjoy!
Man, was this bowl of oatmeal better than the usual. I repeated this breakfast this morning also only this time I mixed in 1/2 cup of blueberries. It only gets better!
This post is a bit of a throw together because like I said, time escapes me and then I end up having too much to share so everything is just like ugh wait what? so please…forgive me?
Lunch time baybay!! With these lunches I officially said my goodbyes to Thanksgiving leftovers *sigh* but boy were they delicious.
On Wednesday I parted with the turkey via this awesome salad. There’s really something magical about turkey breast and Newman’s Own Lite Honey Mustard dressing when paired together. And thankfully, we have a whole turkey in the freezer at home…guess what I’ll be doing over Christmas break?!
And on Thursday, I had the remainder of the cranberry sauce atop a sweet potato. WOW. Good stuff right there. Just another way to utilize leftovers.
Ok, so that does it with the food talk. Now for this super-duper-made-me-like-I-was-on-cloud-nine-afterwards workout that I saw on Kristin’s blog…
Yeah. I ran 5.16 miles on the freaking dreamill and didn’t dread it one minute. Either it has to do with the Eric Bana look alike on the machine in front of me that I could.not.stop staring at or all the intervals that kept me from getting bored.
Tonight, Stephen and I will be making dinner out of whatever ingredients catch our eye at Earthfare (my favorite grocery store in zee world) so be on the look out for a post about dat one.
Annnd!!! I have two bits of very exciting news that I will hopefully reveal on Monday (?).
Stay tuned y’all and Roll Tide. 😉
